Overview
Japan's Banking Act amendment established a framework for registered Electronic Payment Service Providers (EPSPs) to access bank APIs. Banks are encouraged (not mandated) to publish open APIs.
Note: Encouragement model rather than mandate. Over 130 banks now offer APIs.
