The National Bank of Angola (BNA) is the primary financial regulatory authority in Angola responsible for overseeing open banking and financial services. As a National Competent Authority (NCA), BNA ensures that banks and third-party providers comply with open banking regulations, protecting consumers while fostering innovation in financial services.
SCA Update: The BNA supervises the payment system and financial institutions. Lei nº 40/20 (December 2020) established the regulatory foundation for payment services and open banking development.
